Masco in the Community
Masco, its Business Units and its Foundation, actively reach out to non-profit partners, predominantly in communities where our associates live and work, with philanthropic and volunteer support. The Corporation accomplishes its charitable agenda through cash donations and volunteer engagements, and with the donation of products and services provided by Masco’s Business Units. Masco has an active employee matching gift program, as well as a program that encourages and rewards employee volunteer engagement. Whether it’s collecting school supplies for underserved schools, funding the construction of a school in Asia or building a Habitat for Humanity home, the Company’s employees are making a meaningful impact in communities around the world.
Masco Corporation Foundation was established in 1952 as a 501(c)3 non-profit financed with contributions from the Corporation. The Foundation’s funds are directed at other 501(c)3’s and eligible public entities with altruistic goals. The Foundation makes cash grants, and is separate and apart from other in-kind, promotional or product donations and services the Corporation might consider.
Masco’s Foundation supports a variety of arts, cultural, affordable housing, human service, environmental and civic initiatives in Southeast Michigan. In recent years, the Foundation has expanded its reach into communities across the country where Masco has business operations. These initiatives have supported the hungry and homeless and, most recently, the Foundation provided significant funding to organization’s supporting our country’s veterans and military personnel across the country. Masco’s Foundation is known best for its long-term arts legacy in metropolitan Detroit.
