Behr Paint Supports Veterans through Industry Partnership
In July, Behr Paint Company announced a new nationwide initiative in partnership with the Painting Contractors Association (PCA) to support U.S. veterans and transitioning service members as they begin or grow careers in the professional painting industry.
Through this program, 100 veterans will receive a scholarship for a complimentary first-year PCA membership—granting full access to PCA’s robust network of education, training, and business resources. In addition, recipients will be paired with personalized mentors, including PCA member volunteers and members of the Behr Veterans Network.
Behr is also offering event scholarships to 25 veterans, covering admission and a travel stipend to one of PCA’s Fall Conferences including PCA en Español, Residential, Women in Paint, or Commercial.
“Our commitment goes beyond providing paint,” says Megan Selby, President of Behr. “It’s about investing in the future of these remarkable individuals who have selflessly served our country.
“We aim to equip veterans with the skills and connections they need to build successful careers and business in the painting industry – back at home,” Selby says. “The partnership is a small way for us to express our gratitude and help them thrive in their next chapter.”
