Behr Team Members Volunteer at Camp Pendleton

In late October, Behr Paint Company participated as a sponsor of the nonprofit Working Wardrobes’ “Power Up for Success” women’s event at Camp Pendleton. Five Behr team members volunteered to help over 90 female active duty and transitioning Marines and Sailors with professional wardrobe and accessory selection, taking headshots, and career information. Plus, Virginia Sanchez, Behr Paint’s Director of IT who served in the US Army, spoke as part of a career panel, sharing the story of her transition to civilian life and path to her current role. She and the other panelists also provided advice on how to transfer military skills to the corporate workplace.

Working Wardrobes’ VetNet program has received funds from Behr since 2018 as part of our Masco Million Differences initiative to support nonprofits that help individuals from diverse backgrounds gain access to education and the workplace pipeline. Thanks to all who participated in the Power Up for Success event!
