Brasscraft Partners with Davidson County Schools

The desire to promote the skilled trades and cultivate the next generation entering the workforce has long been a focus for our Brasscraft Manufacturing Company. Since 2014, Brasscraft has awarded over a half million dollars in scholarship funds to plumbing apprentices. And thanks to their team at the Thomasville, NC, manufacturing facility, they are now furthering that commitment through the launch of a new internship program.

The program, which launched in January 2020 and is spearheaded by Wanda Richardson, Thomasville’s Director of Operations, offers local high school students the opportunity to gain real-life experience in a manufacturing setting. Interns will gain exposure to various parts of the organization, including continuous improvement, quality and engineering. The program is a 10-hour per week commitment, with more hours available during the summer break.

“Providing greater educational opportunities is critical to Masco’s Community Development strategy to create thriving neighborhoods,” says Masco’s Director of Corporate Giving, Sue Sabo. “We are excited to see this partnership grow, and we look forward to great accomplishments from the 2020 interns!”
