Endless Pools Employees Swim Against Hunger

With a $15,000 donation and unique awareness-raising event, Endless Pools® returned as a supporter of the 24th annual Camp Out for Hunger, a fundraiser for the local foodbank Philabundance. Working through its network of 350 partners, Philabundance serves 135,000 individuals per week in Southeastern Pennsylvania and Southern New Jersey, providing food for people in need of a helping hand.

The fundraiser took place November 1-5 at Xfinity Live!, and Endless Pools was pleased to provide their Performance pool for a charity swim relay. Endless Pools employees, family, friends, and volunteers signed up for one or more 10-minute slots in the pool’s clean, 88-degree water. One by one, they swam against the pool’s adjustable current to collectively swim the 82-mile distance from the event site to Cape May! When they achieved their goal on the final morning, Endless Pools donated $15,000 to Philabundance.

“We believe in the transformative power of water,” said Brendan Connell, Sales Manager for Endless Pools. “Our pools have been changing lives since 1988, and at the Camp Out for Hunger, we used our swim-a-thon to shine a spotlight on hunger in the Delaware Valley. With our direct contribution and the raised awareness, our team has been able to create a real impact for Philabundance.”

This was the second year Endless Pools has brought a pool for a swim relay at Camp Out for Hunger, an annual fundraiser hosted by Hall-of-Fame radio personalities Preston and Steve of WMMR-FM. Swim participants and spectators also brought nonperishable food donations to further support the foodbank, and the increased awareness of the fundraiser driven by the swim-a-thon helped raise additional funds from the public.

Great job to Endless Pools for making a splash against hunger!
