Delta Faucet Company Celebrates Day of Service
In early June, Delta Faucet Company held a day of service in which their employees volunteered for a variety of community-oriented activities.
At Delta Faucet Company headquarters in Indianapolis, employees worked with Greater Indy Habitat for Humanity to construct wall panels, which will be assembled into a home for a local family.
“This marks our 25th year partnering with Habitat for Humanity and the 25th home our employees are helping to build. Our partnership has provided meaningful opportunities for our employees to volunteer and make a lasting positive impact in the community,” said Jill Ehnes, President at Delta Faucet Company.
Other Delta Faucet Company locations got involved too: in Greensburg, Indiana, employee activities were held to raise awareness about community partners like United Fund, and the Morgantown, Kentucky location introduced new community partners like the Boys & Girls Club. The Lapeer, Michigan team hosted the local nonprofit Lapeer Area Citizens Against Domestic Assault and collected donations for the organization through the month of June.
Even remote employees were encouraged to volunteer in their local communities on their own or with other employees that live close to them. For example, Rachel Chizek, Talent Acquisition Professional, who works remotely from Michigan, served her community by baking dinners for the Lasagna Love organization, which delivers homemade meals to families in need.
Ehnes concluded with, “I am so proud of our employees, no matter their location, who spent the day addressing the needs in their neighborhoods by giving back in some way.”
