Masco HQ Employees Build with Habitat

At long last, Masco HQ employees were able to return to in-person volunteering with Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley this month. Our Financial Reporting, Global Supply Chain Services, and IT teams each spent a day on site, learning or perfecting skills to attach siding, paint, caulk, insulate, and more.

Our Financial Reporting team in particular worked on the future home of Melvin Parson, founder of We the People Opportunity Farm, a nonprofit that seeks to break the cycle of incarceration in Washtenaw County through community farming. In addition to being able to meet Melvin, the Financial Reporting team had the chance to tour the farm and hear about the nonprofit’s impact on both the mentees and the neighborhood at large.

Furthermore, the house that Masco’s funding supported in 2021 is being dedicated this month as the crew and volunteers work to add the finishing touches. Congratulations to the Habitat for Humanity of Huron Valley team for completing another house in Ypsilanti, MI, and thanks to all the volunteers who helped make it happen!
